Our top priority for your pet's surgery is to keep them
SAFE & HAPPY
We use state-of-the-art surgical equipment and prioritize educating our clients, so you know the appropriate aftercare for your pet.
Risk Reduction
Although many technological advancements have made anesthesia and surgery very safe for pets, some risks still exist. To decrease these risks, we require all patients undergo a physical exam and conduct a pre-anesthetic blood screening. This blood panel will help reduce anesthetic risks by ruling out many internal problems, including liver and kidney abnormalities and anemia. In addition to the examination and blood screening, we also place an intravenous catheter and administer fluids to help keep your pet hydrated and maintain blood pressure during the procedure.
Anesthesia
We use only the safest and most advanced anesthesia to provide an extra margin of safety and peace of mind, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Our anesthetic machines are computerized, which makes for accurate and delicate control of intra-operative anesthesia. Vital signs for all our patients are continuously monitored during all procedures. We only use Licensed Veterinary Technicians who are educated in anesthesia to monitor our patients, in addition to using equipment to help them monitor blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
